Authorization Receiver

Outsourcing Advantage is a boutique business process outsourcing (BPO) firm specializing in back-office and customer service support for U.S.-based businesses in the hospital and health care sector. As an Authorization Receiver, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless authorization processes that directly impact client operations and service continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enter and maintain authorizations in CentralReach, including temporary authorizations, change-of-provider requests, and continuation-of-care requests
• Follow up with insurance companies to ensure authorizations are received and processed in a timely manner
• Review authorization statuses, resolve discrepancies, and obtain missing information/documentation
• Grant late conversion permissions when approved and in compliance with company guidelines
• Monitor upcoming authorization expirations and notify the placement team to prevent service disruptions
• Audit submitted authorizations for accuracy and completeness prior to/after submission to insurance
• Monitor and respond to office, authsupport, and payroll support inboxes
• Review, approve, or deny makeup requests based on authorization availability and policy guidelines
• Adjust converted sessions when permitted and ensure all updates are properly documented
• Support authorization-related escalations and contribute to operational workflow efficiency
• Collaborate with intake, placement, and authorization teams to coordinate authorization needs

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in an administrative or operations support role requiring accurate data entry and record maintenance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. 
• Experience communicating with insurance companies or payers to follow up on authorization status or required documentation
• Experience collaborating with internal teams
• C1 English level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with hospital and health care industry processes
• Experience with other healthcare authorization or scheduling platforms
