We are looking for a Sales Manager who will proactively oversee all aspects of the sales cycle with prospects: relationship development, sales presentations, site inspections, proposal generation, and contract negotiations.
- Proactively lead and generate new business, drive sales, and deliver results for designated accounts and market segments.
- Possess knowledge and experience in the Leisure and Luxury markets, including luxury consortia and high-end luxury agencies.
- A marketing background is a bonus for promoting negotiated rates to ensure market share.
- Conduct regular sales calls to existing and potential new accounts.
- Document sales activity in provided reports and the hotel database (SalesForce).
- Schedule and conduct site inspections and client entertainment, including travel agent FAM trips.
- Assist the DOSM in managing promotional programs.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and prepare a Monthly Sales Report for each meeting.
- Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings as scheduled.
- Assist with reports and competition data collection.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in computer skills and industry-specific systems such as OPERA, along with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience within the luxury hospitality sector.
- Dedicated to delivering high-level customer service.
- Strong leadership qualities, a positive attitude, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends, and to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional organizational skills.
- Knowledgeable about the local market, industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
- Excellent sales skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and operate independently.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Positive, enthusiastic approach with a team-oriented mentality.
- Self-motivated mindset.
- Bilingual: Must speak Spanish and English.
- Must have a deep understanding of Forbes Travel Guide standards and experience managing teams committed to excellence.
