Sr Buyer/Planner

Senior Buyer/Planner at Medtronic responsible for sourcing, planning, and scheduling direct materials for manufacturing operations in the Dominican Republic. The role manages supplier relationships, optimizes inventory and costs, and coordinates across supply chain, operations, and engineering functions to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
Responsibilities
- Source, purchase, plan, and schedule movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods through production and inventory
- Analyze pricing factors and cost data to determine optimal procurement decisions balancing quality and schedule requirements
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering to ensure appropriate procurement and material movement
- Monitor supplier performance and collaborate on demand analysis and planning initiatives
- Compile market and pricing trend information to inform procurement strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years in supply chain planning, purchasing, procurement, or inventory management
- Experience with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, BPCS, or equivalent platforms
- Proficiency managing suppliers and purchase orders in manufacturing environments
- Advanced Excel skills and MRP/ERP planning system experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent international credential plus 4+ years relevant experience
